TECHNOLOGIES FOR FREERIDE
SkiFi is a credit card-sized device that the user installs on the ski. It contains a magnetometer, gyroscope and accelerometer. Using data from these sensors, it helps the user improve their skiing technique when riding in open terrain, which is further divided into Uphill and Downhill ski coaching. Furthermore, SkiFi works as an electronic lock that protects the ski from theft. Last but not least, SkiFi serves as a locator if the user's ski comes loose and ends up under the snow when falling. Using the app, it is then easy to find it.
