The Semiconductor World Heads to Prague. ISIG Conference Takes Place This September

This September, Prague will become a meeting point for leading figures from the European and global semiconductor industry.

CzechInvest, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, is a partner of the ISIG Executive Summit EU 2026 (International Semiconductor Industry Group). The event will bring together leaders from the semiconductor, power electronics and advanced manufacturing sectors with one of Europe’s most dynamic ecosystems in the field.

This year’s summit will focus on “Chips, Power and Machines: Powering AI and Electrifying Industry”, creating a platform to discuss the future of Europe’s semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence and industrial electrification.

“Supporting the semiconductor industry is one of CzechInvest’s long-term priorities. We help both foreign investors and Czech technology companies develop innovative projects and strengthen the involvement of Czech industry in European and global supply chains. The ISIG Executive Summit is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that the Czech Republic has a great deal to offer in this strategically important sector,” says Jan Michal, CEO of CzechInvest.

Participants will explore how 800 V architectures, silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) power electronics are improving the performance, efficiency, charging speed and reliability of electric vehicles.

The programme will also address the semiconductor technologies powering cutting-edge humanoid robots, opportunities for financing an ecosystem where innovation, scalability and strategic vision converge, and, last but not least, the semiconductor industry in the Czech Republic.

Key speakers will include Thomas Morgenstern, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing at STMicroelectronics, and Magdalena Christine Böbel, Executive Vice President, Integrated Circuits for Energy Systems and Head of Business Line at Infineon Technologies.

The conference programme will also include a visit to the Hitachi Energy Semiconductors Prague factory.
The conference will take place in Prague from 14–16 September 2026.
