CzechInvest has unveiled a new publication titled “Invest in the Czech Republic: Facts and Stories for Taiwanese Investors,” which highlights the Czech Republic as an attractive destination for Taiwanese investment and technological cooperation. The brochure was created in connection with CzechInvest’s activities in Taiwan and the development of Czech-Taiwanese relations, particularly in the fields of semiconductors, AI, electronics, and advanced technologies.
The publication combines economic data, investment arguments, and specific experiences of Taiwanese companies already operating in the Czech Republic. In addition to an overview of the investment environment, it also features stories from companies such as Foxconn, Wistron, Inventec, CTi, FREE Bionics, and Jmem Technology, which describe the Czech Republic not only as a manufacturing base but also as a long-term European hub for business development and innovation.
The brochure explains why the Czech Republic has long been one of the most important centers for Taiwanese investment in Central Europe.
Interesting figures include, for example:
- approximately 20 Taiwanese investors operating in the Czech Republic
- more than 40 investment projects
- planned investments worth CZK 21.6 billion
- nearly 25,000 planned jobs
The publication also highlights the Czech Republic’s strengths for foreign investors—its strategic location in the heart of Europe, stable business environment, high-quality technical education, industrial tradition, and growing importance in the fields of semiconductors, cybersecurity, AI, and research and development.
Another key theme of the brochure is the growing technological cooperation between the Czech Republic and Taiwan. In 2024, CzechInvest opened its overseas office in Taipei, which supports investment, research collaboration, and the interconnection of the startup and innovation ecosystems of both countries.
You can find the full publication here.
The publication is primarily intended for Taiwanese investors, technology companies, and partners who are considering entering the European market via the Czech Republic or are looking for opportunities to further expand their activities in Europe.
